The next adventure begins...

I've always thrived on creativity and connecting with others. I love the world of theater, but I've found that it doesn't always satisfy all of my creative cravings. I've dabbled in making YouTube videos, and I must say, I really enjoyed it! However, the whole recording, editing, and posting process became a bit overwhelming. I'm on a mission to blend my creativity with providing valuable information, and with my strong communication skills, I've found the perfect solution: starting a blog!

This idea came to me with my recent project of planning Matt and I's vacation in 2025.  If you don't know my husband Matt, he is not a traveler like I am, but when he said he wanted to go on a vacation I jumped at this opportunity!  MY FAVORITE!  Planning an entire trip with spreadsheets, lists, Amazon favorites, and maps is my absolute dream!  By day, I'm a Social Worker, but deep down, I really want to be a Travel Agent. I'm usually all about Disney (I'd happily plan anyone's trip there!), but this time, we're doing something different. We're going on The Grand Circle Road Trip, inspired by a documentary I recently watched on Amazon Prime. It's a 12-day road trip starting in Vegas, hitting up FIVE National Parks. Can you believe it? I'm in planning heaven!

As I began planning my upcoming trip, I got super excited about the idea of creating detailed spreadsheets and collecting resources to share with fellow travelers. I wanted to document everything about my trip - from budgets and hotel details to maps and more. But then I took it one step further. I decided to start a daily blog while on vacation to capture my experiences and share them with anyone who might be interested. I figured it would be a great way to not only preserve my memories but also provide some insights into my adventures. After some research, I found that Blogger was the perfect platform for what I wanted to achieve. I'm not expecting to become a blogging sensation, but I'm really looking forward to journaling my amazing trip and sharing what I learn along the way with others.

So here I am, embarking on a new blog journey.  Before I dive into sharing my Grand Circle trip plans for next year, I want to get comfortable with my writing style. How do I avoid writer's block? How much should I write? These are just some of the questions I'm pondering. I'm definitely not an expert, but I'm excited to see where this blogging adventure takes me. Labor Day weekend 2024 is just around the corner, and I'm thrilled about the Fall season at our off-grid Upper Michigan cabin. There's never a shortage of exciting things to write about, so that's where I'll begin.

I look forward to see my growth in this new endeavor, and am excited to share it all with you.  A new ADVENTURE indeed!
